Piclib Capsule is used to treat patients with metastatic breast cancer (oestrogen receptor positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative). This treatment is used in tandem with hormonal cancer medications.

To maximise its effects, take your daily Piclib Capsule at the same time each day, preferably with food. Your doctor should determine the appropriate dosage and how often you should take it. This will vary from treatment to treatment and may change over time. You should strictly follow your doctor's instructions. Extremely harmful effects can occur if it is taken incorrectly or in excessive quantities. If your doctor has told you to continue taking the medication, do so even if you haven't yet noticed any improvement; it may take several weeks or months before you feel any positive effects.

Weakness, hair loss, rash, vomiting, and diarrhoea are some of the most often reported adverse reactions to this medication. The potential for a drop in blood cell counts (both red and white) as a side effect of this medication raises the risk of infection. If you have any signs of infection, including a high temperature, chills, weakness, bleeding, bruising, or a bleeding nose, you should see a doctor. If you have dizziness as a result, you should not engage in potentially dangerous activities like driving or demanding attention.

Pregnant women and lactating mothers should not take this medication. During therapy, it is critical that both men and women use reliable methods of birth control to avoid becoming pregnant.

How it works

Piclib Capsule is an anti-cancer. Chemical messengers Cyclin dependent kinase 4 and 6 are downstream of signalling pathways that promote cell proliferation. This medication stops the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting cyclin dependent kinases 4 and 6. (cell growing process). By interfering with the cell cycle, it also targets breast cancer cells that have oestrogen (hormone) receptors.

Breast feeding - UNSAFEIt is not recommended to take Piclib Capsule while lactating. The medicine may be hazardous to the baby, according to data.

Driving - UNSAFEPiclib Capsule may induce negative effects that impair your driving ability.During treatment with Piclib Capsule, some patients may develop lethargy or dizziness. If this occurs, you should take caution when driving or operating machines.

Kidney - SAFE IF PRESCRIBEDPatients with kidney condition can safely take Piclib Capsule. There is no need to modify the dosage of Piclib Capsule.

Tips

It is best to take it with food and at the same time each day.

You should skip the missed dose and continue on your regular schedule if you forget to take your medication or vomit. It is not recommended to take two doses of the medication at the same time.

It could make you dizzy. Until you know how it affects you, you shouldn't do anything that requires concentration, like driving.
